Francesco was appointed CEO of CMC in 2011 after 10 years in the company holding the position of R&D Director. A pro-active person, Francesco is passionate about technology and has strategically developed International relationships with major partners to grow the company global position. He is also Director of the company Sales Operations.

Lorenzo Ponti

Lorenzo Ponti

Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Head of R&D

Lorenzo began his career in CMC in 2011 after graduating from Perugia University in Mechanical Engineering. He is leading a team of 50 engineers and designers to timely fulfill the customers’ requirements and accelerate the company innovation agenda in e-commerce and shipping solutions.

A visionary with a great entrepreneur spirit, Giuseppe founded CMC in 1980. He has always been the face of the company for customers and partners. He oversaw the company growth and change from a family run business to an enterprise. He has a track record in developing and patenting innovative solutions for the mailing, graphic and packaging industry.

Andrea Marzolla

Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Andrea Marzolla joined CMC as COO in 2021.
He has over 25 years’ extensive experience across multiple organizations both as a sourcing and operations director in Italy and abroad.
He holds a university degree in Electronic Engineer and a Master in Business Strategy at the MIT Sloan School of Management.

Luca Barzaghi

Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Luca Barzaghi joined CMC as CFO in 2020.
He owns more than 20 years of professional experience. During his career he acted as either a manager, primarily as CFO, CRO and Board Director, or a consultant operating in the fields of financial restructuring, performance improvement, M&A and corporate finance.
His international management roles and advisory engagements were performed in international mid-large (listed) corporations, often controlled by international Private Equity investors, operating in several industries such as, but not limited to, apparel, consumer goods, automotive, hospitality, EPC, etc.

Maria Gabriella Di Giacomo

Maria Gabriella Di Giacomo

General Counsel

Gabriella joined CMC as group General Counsel in 2021.
She has an over 15-year experience with an international cut in multinational companies and international law firms. She was Legal & Corporate Affairs Manager at Électricité de France Group in Amsterdam. She led the legal and corporate affairs of EDF’s sub-holding group across 6 countries. She served as trusted advisor to senior management and boards of directors. Before, she was Legal Counsel at Giorgio Armani SpA in Milan. She provided strategic legal advice and services on a group-wide basis and in the cross-border context. Before, she was in private practice at Latham & Watkins and Cocuzza & Associati law firms in Rome and Milan.
Gabriella is admitted to the Italian bar. She holds a Law Master’s Degree from LUISS Guido Carli University of Rome, an In-house Lawyers Master’s Diploma from Roma Tre University of Rome, and a Marketing and Communications for Fashion and Luxury Brands Diploma from Complutense University of Madrid.
Gabriella has lived in Italy and the Netherlands. She speaks English, Dutch, French and Italian.
She is also active in community and civic matters and has served on several pro bono cases. Latham & Watkins awarded her the Pro Bono Challenge 2010. She is an adamant advocate for sustainability. She currently volunteers as writer and author for Hecho Por Nosotros, an Ashoka Fellow and one of the most impactful organization in textile sustainability.
